Friday Photo Flashback

I am WAY excited about this meme! In the spirit of my sis coming to visit, I decided to pic on her! As a young woman, coming into our own, we make many attempts to beautify ourselves. Here is an example of an attempt gone wrong:

Maggie is on the right (as if I needed to tell you)! She decided she needed to have her eye brows waxed, a very common occurrence. The beautician left the wax on too long and in one swift movement her eye brows disappeared!!! Tragic, right? The worst part: the beautician was her mother! (We have the same Dad, but different Moms.)

In Maggie's defense, I decided to post one of my fav pics of her. Isn't she beautiful with eye brows?! This was pre brow trauma. Poor things have never been the same since "the accident".

Aunt Maggie arrives in 5 days. There will be LOTS of picture taking. She will soon take up much space on my blog and you can see just how pretty she is now. I love you Bug!

Hi Katy! I'm so glad you are joining us on Fridays!! I love this meme too! It brings back so many memories when I post a picture each week!!!!

Now..to your picture..lol..oh my gosh..I bet your mom felt soooo bad!! I can't even imagine your sisters reaction. I'm sure you can all laugh at that now!!

I can tell you're excited to see her! I'm close to my sister too (but she lives in Hawaii).

That's really sweet! (and funny... I've never had the guts to wax the brows, though I wax everything else!)

Yes, my story was a doozy but you have beautiful hair now! I also have a story about my eyebrows that I'll post one day...thankfully there are no pictures. You both are beautiful and I hope you enjoy your time with her.

I think you are the first social worker I've "met" on here. Thankfully, I'm a stay-at-home mom now. I liked my job most days but I surely didn't love it. I think it's because I've never found the right job. I was offered a Hospice position once but had already accepted another.

Drop by anytime and hope to see you on Friday Photo Flashback next week!

oh no!!! Having your eyebrows ripped off....traumatic. Did she wear pencil for a while?!! Oh poor thing.

Believe me, I've had a similar experience ;)

Great pictures, you both look so pretty, with or without eyebrows.

I butchered my son's haircut once but he was only two or three at the time, so he didn't care. I, however, felt bad!

I have learned alot about blogging thru trial and error, and people helping me. But my hubby and kids have had to show me how to upload a picture and things like that, so I'm feelin' ya!

LOL how funny! My mom bought one of those wax at home kits and did the same thing to herself on ONE eyebrow. She was so upset when she had to take the other one off so that they would match as they grew in ROFL.

Oh my gosh,,,I don't know why I even get my eye brows waxed. I hate them after its over. I swear it doesn't look like me. But I hate to twiz them so I endure the look for 2 weeks until they look good again. I wonder if Maggie will ever wax again??

Just hopped on over after seeing your comment. Had to see that boy of yours. He is too cute!! I love that stage! round pudgy cheeks and lots of fun!
Your poor sister having lost her eyebrows. My mom plucked all hers at age 10 and they never grew back right. Can you imagine.
Thanks for coming over. HOpe to see you more.

Now that is just too funny! I remember when that happened. That's a great pic of Tricia too, N O T! You can tell you all are sisters. All 3 of you are pretty as can be!
