Ready for the snow again!

We had another snow today. It was COLD! Charlie wore this to go the nanny's. He was so cranky until I sat him in his chair and whooped the camera out. Then, he was ready for action and full of smiles! I thought he was the cutest thing ever :+)

Charlie's First Cereal!

We decided to start Charlie on rice cereal tonight. Grandma is here visiting too! We put Charlie in his bouncer and sat him on the table. Mommy carefully mixed the cereal with breast milk. Daddy was standing by with the camera and Grandma was anxiously waiting to see the big response. Charlie saw the spoon approaching and opened his mouth wide. He loved it! He waved his arms in excitement and tried to help Mommy with the spoon. This created quite the mess and made for a good laugh. We finally had to have Grandma's help with holding his arms down. Before long, we were in the swing of things and he ate the whole bowl. We love you Charlie :)

5 month checkup!

We missed our 4 month checkup because we were in AL. Dr. Bridges' office is VERY familiar with Charlie. A)I am a first time Mommy and called almost everyday at first not wanting to do anything wrong and B)I used to work with Dr. Bridges at the hospital. Selecting a pediatrician was an easy task for us! Not only do I trust Dr. Bridges, but I also trust his on-call team. Anyway, he gave Charlie a thumbs up and complimented us on the job we were doing. He weighs just over 17 pounds and is almost 27 inches long. All in all, he is in the 75% for his age group! Charlie remains strickly on breast milk. He can remain on breast milk or we can began giving him cereal and baby food, but the choice is up to us. Thank you Lord for continuing to nuture our little one along!

First Shots

Charlie received his first set of immunizations yesterday. Mommy was so nervous that she left the room while Daddy held him. I kept waiting to hear him cry and cry too, but I just heard the nurses talking about what a good boy he was. They told me that he just looked at them as if to say, "What are yall doing?" He never even made a whimper:) Turns out, his shots were harder on Mommy than they were on him!

E-I-E-I-O Outfit

This was one of Charlie's Christmas presents. I think it is absolutely adorable. He wore it to see Dr. Bridges and it was a big hit!

Ready for the Cold!

I found this outfit at Baby Gap and fell in love with it. His head is too big for the hat. The straps won't velcro together, so he chews on them instead!

Charlie's First Bible

This Bible was given to Charlie by one of Mom's friends.

Discovering Teething Ring

This teething ring was a gift from one of Aunt Melissa's friends. We received it while we were home for Christmas. Charlie seems to like it!

Charlie's First 6-9 Months Outfit

Charlie is already in 6-9 mo. clothes! I can't believe how fast he is growing. I love this puppy that he is leaning on. I can't wait until Charlie comes up with a name for him. What fun days lie ahead for us!

Happy 5 Months Charlie!

Charlie is 5 months! He is the absolute the joy of our lives! We love everyday with him. Mommy and Daddy now wake up to the sound of Charlie squealing in his crib. He is such a happy baby. He LOVES to squeal! He has also gotten quite good at screaming when he cries. He is almost able to sit up on his own. He loves to stand with just a little help from Mommy and Daddy and can actually take a few steps too! He likes to make a clicking sound with his tongue. He loves to watch his hands and feet. He loves to smile and "flirt" with a captive audience. He is working really hard to fit his whole hand in his mouth. He has found his thumb and chews on it rather than sucking on it. He can now grasp objects. He can hold his binky and put it in his mouth. He can hold small teething rings. He loves to chew on Mommy and Daddy's fingers and cloth. He is rolling over more and more. He has learned to scooch on his tummy time mat. He loves bath time. (I think he is going to be a good swimmer!) He has graduated from his bassinet to his crib in his own room. He continues to sleep 10-11 hours at night. Just today he said "Da Da Da Da Da." We let Daddy have that as saying "Da Da!" He is at the stage where EVERYTHING goes to the mouth. He loves to cuddle and we LOVE that about him. He remains the center of our lives. We miss him all day when we are not with him. Thank you Lord for our wonderful blessing who You nuture everyday.

Uncle Heath Holds Charlie!

Charlie Meets Peaches

Charlie met Quincy's Peaches. I think he took to her like I have: looks nice, but not real sure. None the less, she captures our interest. Quincy loves her Peaches. They have even been seen driving around town together. She's not just a bird, she IS a family member.
