Focus Friday
I have been so busy lately that I have fallen behind on my usual posts! A gal just can't do it all, all the time. With Charlie's 1st birthday approaching, I have my hands full. I have been playing catch up on his scrapbooks and baby books. I am getting closer and closer.

This week I would like to focus on:
1. Completing Charlie's scrapbooks and baby books.
2. Getting his invites out.
3. Exercise 5 days this week.
4. Have all of this done before the family arrives on Wednesday and Thursday!

Security!

Caution: alarm will sound while within reach!
Trespassers will be bit!

Getting close to the rain.

During a spell of the rain just coming down, rather than blowing on us, Seth and Charlie ventured out to get a closer look. It was refreshing to see and smell.

Inside looking out!

I saw Charlie looking at me as I was taking pics. Yall know I had to grab a few shots of him! I thought it was neat how you could see my reflection in the door. It also called to my attention that I need to clean the thing!

Beautiful butterfly!

While I was out taking pics of my flowers, I noticed this butterfly. I almost stepped on him! He didn't move. He didn't move when I took a bunch of pics. He didn't move as I got closer and closer to him. I thought he must be dead. I reached down to touch him and noticed that he was alive. He still did not move. I turned to visit with Concho and he was gone when I turned back around.

Eating Oreos with Daddy!

Seth loves Oreo cookies. He working on passing down this tradition. Looks like he's not going to have to work too hard!

Cultivating my green thumb!

Clematis on my vine fence.

Crape myrtle blooming.

Hydrangea

I continue to manage to keep my plants alive! The window boxes are doing great. We wondered about them because they don't receive very much sun. Looks like they like where they are. My hydrangea is blooming, but you can't see the blooms for all the leaves. Maybe it will grow out more next year.

Mowing with Daddy!

I love how he looks in the same direction Seth is.

Boys and their caps!

Seth cut the grass last weekend and with all the rain we've had, he's going to have to do it again this weekend! Praise God! Lately, we've gotten on average, 1/2 a year's worth of rain! It's been wonderful. There have been a couple of days where it was cloudy and gray all day. As an extra bonus, it's been a lot cooler too. Sure have enjoyed this spell!

Thankful Thursday at Truth 4 the Journey

It's Thursday again!!!
Boy, have I been busy! Last Saturday, we had 3 events to go to. Two were birthdays and one was a baby shower. We were also busy on Sunday, with a special service dedicated to our preacher who was retiring. It was a great service. With being two weeks behind on cleaning, you can guess what I have been doing today, on my birthday!!

1. I am thankful that today is my birthday! It's so fun to have a day dedicated to you!

2. I am thankful for the wonderful presents my hubby has been giving me. Throughout the day he has been calling and giving me hints for a place where my next present would be. This "scavenger" hunt has been a blast!! I love the show Reba. I mean, I am addicted! I wanted all 6 seasons for my birthday. I have all but season 3. We will have to do some more researching for it!

3. I am thankful that tonight the family will get together to eat and celebrate.

4. I am thankful that this time next week, my family will be here! Mom flies in Wednesday with Aunt Melissa and Big Daddy to follow on Thursday! We will have so much fun together!

5. I am thankful that I am able to clean my house today! Nothing gives me peace like having a clean house.

Playing With Mommy!

I am always behind the camera rather than in the pics. I chose to take a few of us the other day to prove that I do, in fact, exist and play with my child! We had a blast before heading to the pool to celebrate a friend's birthday. The little boy was turning 4 and chose who he wanted to invite to his party. Baby Charlie was one of the chosen ones! We had a blast!

Funny Faces!
