Trying to Survive...

We've been hit! The stomach virus has attacked. The saddest part is that it hit Charlie the hardest. Not only has he had to survive a, shall we say, torn up stomach, he is also recovering from the worse diaper rash I have ever seen. It just seemed to explode. I had the doctor look at for extra measure and any tips he could give us. We put Charlie in the sink and spray him off with lukewarm water so he doesn't have to go through the trauma of having his rear wiped. We are also rotating between corona cream and corn starch. I don't know if yall know about corona cream, but it has really helped in this severe case. It was intended for animal use, but has proven effective for humans too. This also reminds me of bag balm. I discovered this magic salve when I was taking Acutane. My lips were pealing off in layers: seriously! I tried everything lip. At the suggestion of my grandmother, wise on all things home remedy, I tried this wonderful product. To this day, I keep some in my bathroom and in the diaper bag. Anyway, back to the issue at hand: the stomach virus. It began Friday evening, progressed rapidly Saturday, and continues to hang on. Daddy caught it Saturday and Mommy had it today. I say had, because I am claiming that it is in the past! Daddy's only lasted one day, but little Charlie's seems to just hang on. He was much better yesterday and at 0500, it came back with a vengeance! He just keeps on trucking along, like nothing in the world is bothering him. Bless the little children! So, hopefully we are on the finishing stages of this. Daddy is having his surgery tomorrow and will be bed bound for a week. My mom is coming Wednesday: perfect timing!! Plus, I start school on Wednesday as well. So, I claiming healing in the name of Jesus over our home! We are well now!
