Guilty!

This was so cute. I have been cleaning house all day. I keep peeping in on Charlie weather he's here or there, or underneath me. He loves to stand at his changing table and throw everything out of the blue baby pail that is there. Today, he got a hold of the diapers too. I knew he was doing this, but it was keeping him occupied and what's the harm, really? About 30 minutes of his effort took me all of 5 to clean. As I was putting the diapers back up I thought to myself, "One day, you're gonna miss this!"

MckLinky Blog Hop: Why You Should Read My Blog.

You should read my blog because it is an excellent way to know about my life. In my blog, my thoughts, frustrations, pictures and memories are shared. I also feel that it is important to make a stand for what I think is good and true for our country. I blog about what I feel is important in preserving or exposing to ensure that my America will be here for my son and his children. In my blog, you will find some of the current events, that our main stream media does not publish, that I feel are worthy enough to educate others on. I enjoy receiving encouragement from others and learning about their lives as well. It is my goal in whatever I do, to glorify God. Though I often fail in this task, I continue to strive. You should read my blog because I enjoy reading other blogs and expanding my blogging community!!!

Can anyone help?

My husband is the computer savvy one, not me. I noticed today that my followers have disappeared. I have tried what I know, which wasn't much, and was unsuccessful. I was curious to see if anyone else knew how I might solve this problem. Please help!

I came across this meme on Alicia's blog and fell in love with it!!

Here we have Daddy working on a "honey do" task. Charlie just can't stand not being right there with him helping him out!!! I had to pause for a moment and thank God for this wonderful life He has blessed me with! Doesn't Charlie make a great helper?

Thankful Thursday at Truth 4 the Journey

I love this meme, particularly because it is encouraging. My husband and I have been praying for quite a while for another job for him. We pray specifically for a job that will offer great benefits, increase his salary and allow him more time with his family. We all want one of those jobs don't we?! A couple of weeks ago, I told my husband that instead of praying for another job, we should start praising God for what He is going to send our way. So, that is what we have been doing. My husband has a bad ankle that has suffered numerous surgeries. Four about 5 years between sports and cattle, his ankle was wounded. That ankle has recently flared up. His job is physically demanding and this old injury resurfacing has limited him as to what he can do at work. So, we began to pray even harder, as it would be devastating to us if he lost this job. This is a great lead into what I am thankful for this Thursday.

1. I am thankful for answered prayers. God has not yet provided a new job for my husband and we trust His timing on this. However, in the mean time, He has increased his salary there, given him a much nicer company vehicle, and provided assistance with his labor duties!!! My husband is training a new worker and is able to go to the sites and instruct him on how to do the work. This time has allowed my husband's ankle to heal. That, along with the steroid shot! We are very thankful for these events.

2. I am thankful for the future assistance my new mother in law will provide with childcare. She has graciously agreed to watch Charlie for us on the days that I work. This will be such a relief for us, both financially and mentally. It just rips my heart out when I have to leave my child crying. Charlie just loves Laurie and I know he will be so excited to see her everyday.

3. I am thankful for the all the effort my mother puts into coming out here for as many visits as she can. She tries to fly out about once a month. Each visit is such a treat. Charlie really took to her this last visit. I mean, when she arrived he was like: see you later Mommy! It was quite amusing.

4. I am thankful for my sis! She is trying to find someone to take over her apartment lease so can move back out here. Having her closer will be a blessing.

5. I am thankful for my job. I work for such a wonderful group of people. We are a diverse group, but we come together for one common cause and that is to serve and love on others. We are able to have peaceful conversations about subjects we have different opinions on. We understand that at times, we will agree to disagree. We love and respect each other. I have never worked with a group of more loving and supportive people. I am so blessed to have my job. We also just hired another nurse that lives in my town. I am looking forward to working with her and growing our area.

This Thursday, my cup runneth over. I have much to be thankful for, well, except for that traffic ticket I got while caught on camera running a red light. Has that happened to anyone else?

What? In the United States of America?

I arose cheerful this morning, thanking God for my wonderful family and my wonderful job. I live 30+ miles from my workplace and spend 1/2 of my day in the car. During my drive time, I listen to Talk Radio. This is my source of education, as our liberal media, withholds whatever news will not benefit them. Glen Beck comes on from 0800-1100. He is an Independent. He has exposed truths and corruption in both the Democratic and Republican parties. He is a Conservative. I was particularly disgusted by current news today. A journalist and an independent film maker posed as a prostitute and a pimp and sought advice from members of ACORN. ACORN stands for Association of Community Organizers for Reform Now. They have been inolved in numerous other corruption charges such as voter regristration fraud. They serve lower class communities and assist them with voter registration (ironic, right?). ACORN is funded by OUR tax dollars. They have received $53 million (suspected over $100 million) in tax money and are up to gain several BILLION from the "stimulus package." Now that is all very important because as this "pimp" and "prostitute" visited 4 ACORN offices across the nation, they gave each office the same scenario: they were looking to start their own business of a private prostitution ring consisting of thirteen 12-14 year old girls from El Salvador. If I had not seen the footage myself, I absolutely would not believe this happened in the USA. As they gave their "business" plans to each office they were given advice on how to hide their money so they would not have to pay taxes and how to claim funding from the government and housing from ACORN. All paid for by you and me! I should also add that the "pimp" in each case, told each worker that he wanted to hide the money from this lucrative business because he wanted to run for Congress in the future!!! Not a single worker blinked an eye as they told them they were wanting to pimp out 12-14 year old girls!!!! Not only did they not blink an eye, but they told them how to claim them as dependents and receive child tax credits!!!! One worker went so far as to tell them to tell the girls to keep their mouths shut, to perform their work and to not ask any questions!! Can you believe that? I am STUNNED, I tell you, STUNNED! So, learning this last night, all ACORN employees identified were fired and the Senate voted a whopping 83-7 to stop federal funding to ACORN!!! ACORN's response to this: our money comes from private donations anyway, this loss will not hurt us!! You can view, one of the videos here. In this video, the worker's name is Teresa. She actually ADMITS TO KILLING HER HUSBAND!!! She said he was abusive. O.k. so, you killed him in self defense? Well, not exactly. In her words, they were arguing and she shot him. She admitted that he was not abusing her at that time. (I totally get shooting someone in self defense, especially an abusive partner. In these cases all too many times, it comes down to you or them.) The kicker here is that she said: I laid the "groundwork" by visiting the local domestic violence shelter so the town would know that he was abusing me. That part sounds a little tricky to me. She also admitted to running an escort service herself. I am just baffled at this. So, leading reporters Charlie Gibson and George Stephanopoulos "did not know anything" about this breakthrough story!! Don't you think the American people deserve to know how their tax dollars are being spent? Don't you think the American public would be outraged to know that their money was being spent to start child prostition rings? Why is our media NOT REPORTING THIS???? I must say here that Fox News is covering this story. This leads me to our said leader. Is he commenting on this? No. Let's remember here that in the 80's he was an attorney for ACORN and TRAINED THEIR WORKERS!!! He has admitted to being very involved with ACORN and has said that the Chicago chapter is very active. He is very attached to ACORN. Is this why our media is not covering this? This is simply a truth issue. This happened, it is on tape. It is illegal. It is not about this or that party. It is about exposing evil. Should this organization be allowed to continue to exist?

Making your home sing Mondays

And just like that...it is Monday. We are blessed to spend another week in our bliss. Last night, my husband's laptop crashed, so I ask your prayers for his sanity. He performed "surgery" all night and had to shake his head, put his hand on its shoulder and tell him goodbye. It was a sad moment, I am sure. I was in bed. As I was drifting off to sleep, I could hear him chanting for his friend to fight back and survive. Deep in my role as supportive wife, I will validate this loss. Our home will be in morning to pay our respects. Charlie and I will hug Daddy when he gets home and give him our condolences. I will utilize my computer more and allow Daddy more time with his desktop. He will need it, you know, to prove that he has another machine that loves and obeys him. My poor, poor husband. These are difficult times for him.

A few Sundays ago, our preacher spoke about being transparent. I found a lot of truth in what he said. He talked about the various methods of communication we have nowadays, with Facebook, Myspace, and some other ones that I am uneducated on. On these sites, one can enter their mood. He made a point about being transparent in that if we hide who we are, others cannot see what God is doing in us. If we are transparent, then others can see the work God is doing in us. I should add here that by saying transparent, I mean having a window view into our lives. If I only blog about "smily face" things in my life, then I hide my struggles and hide what God has done with those struggles. Struggles are a major apportunity to display God's power. In efforts to make my home and my blog home sing, I will provide a truer picture of my life!

My 1st Tea Party!!

I attended my 1st Tea Party today. Our doctor (at work) is a Conservative. He spent years practicing medicine in Canada. When he could no longer bear Socialized medicine, he and his family returned to the US. He and Dr. Eads spent some time educating those in attendance today. Funny thing is...one only has to actually read the bill to decide that it's an infringement upon our rights and will be devastating for our country. I brought the hubbs along just in case things got bad, but they never did and it was a peaceful protest educational opportunity. I felt that attending this Tea Party was the least I could do for this day in our history with the big march in Washington happening. We were not an angry mob. We did not speak badly about our said leader. His name wasn't even mentioned that much. Education was spread, along with the contact #s for Pelosi and Reid!!

Hi.

Having had my 1st job this weekend, I quickly became familiar with the areas I needed to work on. My biggest challenge was capturing moments in low light without a flash. I was frustrated time after time as the pics I took came out blurry. Then, when I would use my flash, it would take forever for it to be ready to take another pick. This is devastating when one is trying to capture life as it happens. Betsy will do so much. I have read the book, but applying what one has learned takes time too. So, today I spent about all day practicing in this ONE area. Charlie was a very realistic subject because he is always moving. This is my fav of all the pics I took today. No flash, low light, with Charlie in motion. The blinds were closed here. I had the camera set on continuous mode and was really impressed at the quality of this one. No editing has been done. What do you think?

Political Piece

As you grow to know me, you will learn that I am very passionate about values. I am a Conservative and support small government. I am a fan of President Reagan and long for his type of leadership to return to our country. I think the love of money is the root of evil. More and more, we see politicians compromise their values and those they represent for a price. I am in complete disgust over our current White House Administration. I firmly believe we are witnessing the foundation being laid to destroy our country. I don't think Obama will go away in 4 years. I think he is building his regime and will return to take power. Don't believe me? Check out Van Jones! He is just ONE person Obama has appointment to advise him. For more on this story visit Glen Beck. America needs to take action NOW to prevent the devastation that is being plotted against her. If we sit back like lame ducks, we will find ourselves waking up one day wondering how America changed so. We will wonder where our freedoms went and how this all happened right before our very eyes. I love America AND her freedoms. I don't think Obama should be allowed to go into our schools and push his own agenda upon our children. I don't think we need a civilian military (like Hitler's) that is just as strong and well funded as our national military. I don't even think we need a civilian military. Two militaries within a country will cause great division. Want more protection within our country? How about beefing up our police? I think having a civilian military that answers only to one person (Obama) is VERY dangerous. Under the name Americorps it is happening. They were recently given 1/2 trillion dollars to pursue this agenda.
Are you wondering what you can do to represent your core values? Are you learning more and more about current politics that makes your stomach curl? I have a website that will bring you some relief and give you a place to show your support of Faith, Family and Country. Visit valuesvoterssummit.org and GET INVOLVED!
