The Greatest Love Story of All Time”

Many of us have that “one” person we know that has a great love story. We remember how we felt when we learned about their story and we compare our love story to theirs. We wonder to ourselves, “Do we know love the way they do?”

When I was younger I came to know a special man. I admired him for many reasons. One of those reasons was because he had his bride constantly on his mind. He thought about her, it seemed, from the time he was born right up until his death. He spent his life preparing a way for her to come to know him. He knew of all the distractions she might face in meeting him, but he knew exactly what it would take for his bride to spend her life with him and make his home hers.

I also admired him for the relationship he had with his father. He was in constant communication with his father and sought his wisdom in capturing the love of his bride. His father set an excellent example for him to live by. Knowing true love, this man was able to give true love. Here is his story.

He was conceived by the love of His Father to a virgin, Mary, and her husband, Joseph. He spent His life loving others. He followed His Father’s commands throughout His life. He knew His destination was to die and be the pure sacrifice for the sins of His bride. His sacrifice was the way for her to enter the gates of Heaven and have an eternal relationship with Him and His Father. He was crucified on a cross and on the third day he arose, defeating sin, death and Satan. His love stood true and the victory was won. All evil was defeated, period. His bride only had to accept His love. From His love, she would learn to love Him also, developing and nurturing a relationship that would truly last for all eternity.

This man I came to know is Jesus. We are His bride. His father is God. From them, stems true love. We’ve heard of love that lasts a lifetime. We’ve even heard of love that transcends after death. Now, we know it exists. For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16.

Vega is the home of many loving, welcoming churches full of people who demonstrate God's love. This Easter, bless one of these churches with your presence and celebrate the victory of Jesus' resurrection. My family and I attend Christ's Community Fellowship. We personally invite you to come and learn more about the greatest love story of all time.
