3D Glasses!
The other day Seth and I went to see Monsters Vs. Aliens. We wanted to watch it in the theater because it is a 3D movie. We had some fun putting them on Charlie, then Daddy!
The Montgomery Cowlick!
Bug's Blessing!
May He strengthen your hearts so that you will be blameless and holy in the presence of our God and Father when our Lord Jesus comes with all his holy ones. 1 Thessalonians 3:13
When we face trials and distress, believers should encourage one another. The best rejuvenation during stressful times is quiet time with the Lord. He will carry us through our trials and provide guidance for the next phase in our lives. We have to be in tuned to His instruction so that we know we are following Him and not our own desires. I have been encouraged by your faith many times. We must ALWAYS be prepared for the coming of Jesus. I pray that God will strengthen your heart, that you will listen to Him and seek Him for the correct path in your life. I pray that you will have confidence and a clear answer when you spend time seeking God's direction. The world is full of evil and deception. It is easy for us to become distracted. Our #1 purpose is to serve God, tell others about Him and prepare for our eternity with Him. The pressures of this life are temporary, but our relationship with our Father is permanent. I love you!

Another Cute Outfit!
This outfit was given to us by Seth's cousin, Michelle. We inherited so many cute clothes from them. I just love the collar on this. It is my favorite part. I like the little blue buttons too. They both have Ralph Lauren initials on them. This is the outfit he wore to church today, complete with no shoes. His cute little feet were a big hit. We are off to the county barn to eat some Mexican food to support the band. Gotta love small town living!

Charlie on his knees!
My favorite pose!
Charlie is making big steps this month. With his progress, I know it will only be a matter of time (not long enough) until this stage that I love so much is gone :( I wanted to get some pics of my favorite pose. I just love seeing him like this. Every time he wakes up, he is in this pose. Every time he is on his stomach, he gets in this pose. I think it is so darling.

“The Next Best Thing.”
Being married to a computer nerd has its advantages. I require constant education on this species of technology. I become easily frustrated and, more times than not, my husband has to rush in and prohibit me from hitting the monitor or throwing the key board. He tells me over and over, “Be patient. There's a lot going on in there.” I soon lose interest and move on to something else. Patience is not my thing. Due to the great education my husband gives me, I am able to use technology to my advantage and keep in touch with my family and friends that are not nearby. My mother often says that if she can't be here, her computer is the next best thing to sharing in our lives.
A few months ago, I was hospitalized for three days. The most heartbreaking thing about being away from home was that I was not going to be able to see my son during this time. He was only two months old and we were actively nursing. I prayed, put on my big girl panties, and dealt with the situation at hand. We worked out a schedule. Seth would spend the days with me at the hospital and the nights at home with Charlie. This was my first time to stay in the hospital during the night by myself. I don't do well away from home.
Knowing the struggles I would face alone at night, Seth brought his laptop to the hospital. When the time came for Seth to leave that first night, he placed his laptop on the bedside table in front of me. “Press play.” he said. Much to my delight, a slide show played of our precious little son. “Maybe this will help you sleep.” he added.
During my nights, I kept the slide show playing. Each time I woke up, my son was the first thing I saw. The slide show did help me sleep and continued to bring me comfort throughout my stay. As we were packing up to go home, Seth asked if I enjoyed his creation. “Yes, I did. Since I couldn't have yall here, it was the next best thing.”

Bug's Blessing!
This one is pretty self explanatory. Remember what happened when we gave full vent to our anger? NOT GOOD! With God's grace and guidance we have become who we are to each other today. VERY GOOD!
May the Lord bless you, BIG time!
I love this shirt!

Sick Again!
The whole family has been hit by some kind of bug. Charlie started feeling ill on Friday. Daddy got sick on Sunday and Mommy soon followed. Daddy started on antibiotics yesterday, Mommy and Charlie started today. Mommy and Charlie took the day off with the exception of driving into town for their meds. They were able to get some good rest, as Charlie slept from 1:30-4:00. Mommy woke up at 4:00 to the sound of Charlie and she thanked God for giving them good rest today. Here is a picture of our little sick one. Bless his little heart!

The Newlywed Chronicles
“You're the other half!”
Marriage is a cause for celebration. Whether it is in its beginning stages or enjoying the fruits of its labor in its mature stages. As you all know, my marriage is in its beginning stages. We have a lot to learn and look forward to many years of celebrating. Many times I have heard that the first few years are the hardest, as two become one. Learning to join two lives can be difficult. It can also be comical. In our relationship, I am the storm and Seth is the calm.
Part of our journey to marriage was planning for the big day. The first thing I wanted to cross off my list was a good photographer. I was so excited when we were able to book “the photographer” for our wedding. After conflicting schedules we were able to book our engagement session. It was very important to me to have my dog, Concho, in our pictures. I arranged to take an afternoon off work to take time for our session. Seth and I packed two of our best outfits. I placed them in the back of the car along with shoes, Concho and a bag that carried my finest accessories. We drove to Amarillo, excited about our photo session. I unloaded our clothes and my bag and carried them into the studio. As I laid them out, I noticed a BIG yellow spot on my white shirt and on half of Seth's blue shirt. I looked in my bag and it was soaked as well. I was livid. I stood there speechless. I honestly did not know what to do. This photographer stayed booked and would not be able to see us for at least another month. Panic set in. I could not believe that my well trained, beloved dog did this to me! He had never, ever urinated inside a vehicle before. Seth grabbed my hands and coached me into a calm breathing pattern. “We'll sort this out.” He said calmly. He also walked me to the car and restrained me from beating my now, devil dog. It took some effort, but we were able to reschedule and Concho did appear in our pictures. Seth was right, we did sort it out.
While Seth and I were headed into town one afternoon, we reflected on some of the more comical moments in our relationship. The above incident was a big topic. I laughed at how well we suit each other. Seth mentioned a couple more like incidents. I could see the wheels turning in his head when he looked at me and said, “You're half nuts!” I turned to him and exclaimed, “You're the other half!”

Playing with Daddy!
If you know Seth, you know he is a gamer. He loves playing this one game here. I don't know the name of it, something with "war" in it. He puts on these funny looking headphones and talks to other people, from around the world, that are playing this game. This game used to consume the majority of his time. I am so proud of him for making room for other things in his life like me and Charlie. This game is a HUGE hobby of his.
