Charlie loves Creamsickles too!

Creamsickles are a favorite for Daddy. Looks like they soon will be a favorite for Charlie too!

Look at this blue tongue! Charlie gets small lollipops from Quincy at the market. Cotton Candy was the flavor of the day. He was not happy when he finished! He wanted more!!!

Here are my boys mesmorized by the tv!

Charlie Crawling.

Many of you have already heard the big news of Charlie walking. I have footage and will post as soon as Seth gets a program. He continues to crawl some too. I know it won't be long before crawling is a thing of the past. I wanted to take some pics of my bunchkin in action. Isn't he presh?

I love letters and numbers!!!

Charlie loves to play with these letters and numbers. His favorite thing to do is throw them all off and have Mommy put them back on. He works hard to try to figure out how to put them back on himself. He also likes to cram them all in between the wall and the back of the fridge!

Playing with Daddy!

Aunt May May also packed these fuzzy curlies in her box to me! Charlie and Daddy had fun with them!

Centerpiece.

I love this time of year, just absolutely love it!!! I decorated the other weekend and came up with the idea to use candy in my centerpiece. I intended to use candy corn, but can you believe that Wal-mart was out of it? I even asked an associate and she confirmed. I was like, "What?" I did not even think that could happen this early!

Engagement Session

This was my 1st engagement session with a couple. We had a blast. I intended for the session to last about 2 hours. Four hours later, we called it quits! Out of 1401 images, I selected 102 and narrowed it further to 31 for these slide shows. I hope you enjoy viewing them 1/2 as much as I did taking them.

I'm in a box again!

I made a pillow yesterday and hadn't put up the stuffing box yet. Daddy came in and put Charlie in the box. As you can see, he was amused with the stuffing and enjoyed pulling it off and dropping it, piece by piece, on the floor! Here he is, once again, enjoying the simple pleasures in life!

Daycare!

I must confess that I was EXTREMELY hesitant to put Charlie in daycare. However, our church runs the daycare here. A stream of events required that I put Charlie in the daycare. Our Praise and Worship leader works at our daycare and works in Charlie's class. This brought great comfort to me. Not only that fact, but also that our daycare director is a strong member of our church and her mother works in Charlie's class as well. That means that these three wonderful women of God spend all day with my child! Being new to daycare, I did not know that Charlie would be sent home with a progress report of sorts each day. On these notes is written the activities of the day and extra notes. This note here is my favorite. It notes: He has the sweetest spirit! My Mommy heart is swelled right now! I pray over and for my child daily and one of my prayers is that God will grow him into a man after His own heart. Looks like we're off to a good start! Other notes have said: he made such a cute smile, and was so sweet and cuddley as usual! I thank God for this daycare! We are in a competition of sorts for Charlie's spot, so please pray that he will be able to continue to stay there!!! We will know tomorrow!

Present from Aunt May May!

She even painted the box!

She drew on each piece of paper she used for packing! I love that :)

My sis is very talented. She shares our grandmother's love of painting. Our grandmother is a SUPER talented artist. I have a piece she painted for me when I was a child that I absolutely ADORE! Well, I'll just have to show yall. I remember Maggie spending hours in Granny Welch's painting room when she was younger. She has finally decided to put some of that good ole, born with it talent to use. These are her 1st ever paintings! They are my birthday present. My birthday was July 30th-hence the note for it being so late. The good thing about being sisters: it doesn't matter if it's late. I'm just glad they made it. How could they not have in that precious packing?

More immunizations!

See where I got my shot?

I still love to pose for the camera!

Having fun on Mommy's pillows!

Last Friday, Charlie received more immunizations. He did so well, as usual. He only cried (kinda) for a second or two and then was over it. He also had his 1 year checkup. He is doing very well. He remains, overall, in the 50-75%. He weighs just over 22 lbs and is 31+ inches tall. I decided to let our hair down and play to celebrate this event. We don't have a headboard for our bed, well, if you don't count the pile of pillows. We have our pillows and a lovely wreath that serves as our headboard. Anyway....the pillows usually stay on the floor and Charlie loves to jump on them. After growing weary of jumping, he will stand on them and open the dresser drawers. He has so much fun delighting in simple treasures!

I want to be a dog!

Charlie loves to spend time with da boys in the laundry room. He loves to explore new places. His favorite activity in the laundry room is watching the washing machine fill up with water! When he can't do that, he prefers to be a dog! Did you notice that he even has a doggy treat in his hand? Look at Concho's face when Charlie is touching his paw! Da boys tolerate him well in their space.

P.S. Notice my collection of aprons on the door? Wouldn't it be really cool if I cooked and actually used them?

Charlie's Favorite Gate!

Gettin' ready to open the gate.

Here I come!

I'm crossing over.

I made it to the other side!

Charlie loves this gate! It was where he 1st pulled up on his own and where he has spent most of his time developing his balance. He loves to swing it open time after time. Most recently, he has learned how to walk through it. He stays occupied walking back and forth through this gate. It's not near as much fun when the da boys are outside.
